After much prayer and planning, we (Checo, Samuel, and I) are moving to Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on February 20, 2008. We are going to be starting a Christian non-denominational church. We plan on having Sunday church services, as well as after school programs for kids. We are looking forward to the work that God is going to do through us. We will be sure to share our "adventures in Monterrey" here with you regulary.

As some of you remember, I had a blog in 2005 titled, "Adventures in Monterrey" when I was student teaching in Monterrey. That's when it all started... Checo and I met and now we're married and returning. So I thought it was appropriate to name this blog, "Adventures in Monterrey 2". I'm sure there will be even more adventures this time around!

Oh hello! I'm so excited/hopeful for your growing family on its way to Monterrey (Didn't know it had two R's; was thinking more along the lines of Montery-Jack cheese.) Seems as if this awful winter has driven you out. Just kidding. But I'm sure the perma-sun will be a welcome change. I look forward to posts about your adventures and hope you're not a blogger like me since I only post once every five months or so. Bless your move/packing/travel/settling in your new home/budding church/pregnant belly!
Was that Checo's grandpa's church? I faintly remember something to that effect... around the time you were married?
