Blogs and Baby Books

Blogs and baby books are very similar if you ask me.  You see, both Sammy and Emma's baby books are sitting on a shelf, barely filled out.  This isn't because I don't want to document their babyhood (which Sammy is almost entirely out of), I really want to, and I get sad everytime I think that they will grow up and want to see their baby books and I will have to hand them the empty book.  The reason they sit on the shelf is because the task is so overwhelming to me, I feel like they have to be perfect, with cute little details on every page.  But the days keep passing by and I still haven't filled up those baby books.
Now take everything that I just wrote about baby books and apply that to this blog.  I feel like every post I write needs to be perfect and include just the right amount of details and pictures.  It takes me so much time to write 1 blog entry, so I usually just push it off until "later", but "later" never comes.  So here I am, telling you, my faithful readers (hopefully there is still 1 of you out there), that from now on, I will try to just post something, even if it isn't put together very well or "baby book worthy".

I leave you with a few pictures:

Sammy and Emma playing outside

Sammy tackling Emma (she is pretty tough)

Emma showing off her teeth, actually she is trying to get the dirt out of her mouth that she was eating

And last but not least, Sammy climbing the "protectores" at a friend's house
(sidenote: "protectores" are the steel bars that people put over their windows and doors so that no one can break in)

Annie, another thing you might consider doing is just focusing on your blog and printing it out in book form every year or so. That way you're documenting their lives and the pictures, and you don't have to worry about filling out their baby book as well. I like to print through blurb.com. It's pretty easy to do. Just a thought. :)
