Emma's Sad Day

Emma had a rough day yesterday.

1. She was walking down the stairs (they are tile) all by herself and she made it to the last stair without a problem. Well, just as she got to that last stair, she slipped and fell, and her head went banging down on the ground. The inside of her upper lip was cut open and there was blood everywhere. 

2. We went to the little park behind our house this morning and there is a little path of stepping stones (except they aren't stones, they are slices of logs) that the kids love walking on.  Here is a picture so you can better understand what I mean:

Well, Emma was walking along these pieces of wood and she tripped and fell...her face landed directly on the edge of one of the pieces of wood.  She cut the outside of her upper lip. 


3. We went to the playground after the kids woke up from their afternoon nap.  Sammy and Emma were happily swinging.....

....until Emma tried to do a fancy move and she fell off the swing, banging her head of the ground.

That was all for yesterday, but then today as Sammy was trying to be "helpful" and close Emma's bedroom door, he didn't notice that her fingers were in the door jamb and as he closed the door, Emma's fingers got smashed. 

Hopefully the rest of today will be better for Emma.  Here is a picture of her at the park yesterday, look closely and you can see the cut on her upper lip.
