Oh Emma, when did you become such a big girl? It even looks like she's doing a senior picture pose in this one. We rented one of those inflatable jumpy things (that's what Emma is sitting on). We had a hard time getting Sammy away from it! Emma loved it too! This pic is before she pulled her clip out and wouldn't let me put it back in.
The guy that dropped off the jumpy thing also brought us 5 kids tables and about 30 little chairs. He just threw them in- no extra charge. I guess it's kind of like the deal we got at the church- remember, "Buy 1 clown, get a Winnie the Pooh free". Sorry none of the kids are looking in the picture. I kept yelling their names to look at the camera, but they didn't know what was going on.
Here we are after singing Happy Birthday to Sammy and Emma. Actually, it's nothing like the birthday song we know in Enlgish. Some of you might be thinking, "Feliz cumpeaños a ti, feliz cumpleaños a ti...." nope, not that song. It's something about "wake up Sammy and Emma, wake up", and King David's name is thrown in there somewhere too. I still have to ask Checo about that one- where the song came from. I've heard it sung here tons of times, but I've never asked about it...I just try to go along with the flow. I know, my eyes look a litte creepy and buggy in this shot. That's probably because I was up until 2am the night before, unable to sleep because I drank too much Coke. So I decided to just keep decorating the house for the party. I think I got a little carried away...
EXHIBIT A
I had this great idea in my head (at 2 am) to hang balloons from ribbons from the coat hooks, and to tie a little bow at the bottom of each. Well, I didn't have enough ribbon to do all 5 hooks, so it ended up looking like the picture above. I should have stopped at 1am.
Here's a dark picture of a few other decorations. Not everything looked as bad as the coat hook mistake.
Oh Sammy, you look so cute eating your HUGE piece of cake. Notice that he's sitting at one of those "rental free" kids tables the nice man brought
Emma eating a bite of her banana bread, since she can't eat dairy and the cake I made was loaded with dairy! This was also around "melt down" time for Emma. She had enough birthday and wanted to sleep!
We tried to get a picture of all the kids, this was the best one I got out of about 20. The other pictures consist of Sammy climbing off of the inflatable thing, 2 of the boys fighting over a toy car, Emma trying to jump off, and Sammy climbing on top of Lorenita. This was also after Emma's little friends already left. 3 of the babies that come to our little playgroup were there, but they left before the picture.

I want to rent one of those when I come so I can jump in it! Would you like that for your birthday party Annie?
What a fun party! You guys really know how to party there in Mexico! I wish we could have been there.
LOVE the decorations Annie! Looks like so much fun!! I can't believe how grown Emma looks in the first picture! I also love how you get surprises when you rent cool stuff like dressed up characters and bouncies! Lisa and I should consider this when we open up our business one day!
