Sick Sammy

On Monday, he looked like this:

Really sick...high fever, non-stop coughing with occasional gagging on mucus, mismatched pajamas, sad face, and really messed up hair (this was the only time he was off of the couch for the day- he wanted to be with me while I was washing dishes in the kitchen, so he just sat there on the counter watching me)

Today, he looked like this:

Sammy was sick all day Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.  I've never seen him so lethargic before!  Thankfully our good friend Manolo, who is a pediatrician, came over on Tuesday night and checked him out and prescribed some medicine.  We gave Sammy the first dose of the antibiotic Tuesday night, then the second dose this morning (Wednesday) and he was already seeming better by lunch time.  He was actually walking around and playing with a few toys.  When I asked him if he was feeling better, he kept saying no, but I think that's because he knew his "unlimited video time" was going to to run out when he was "better". His fever is gone.  The last few days his temperature would only go down when I gave him Tylenol, and then 4-5 hours later, after the Tylenol wore off, it would be back up to 102-104 degrees. It was so hard to see Sammy so sick.  I'm so thankful that he's getting better!
