Bad Idea & Half Marathon

I started writing, "Sunday, Part 2", but then I realized that you probably aren't interested in reading about my difficult day.  Just imagine that it was a rough day at church for the kids (and me).  Sometimes that happens.  The pastor's family is not perfect: the kids have meltdowns; the wife wants to leave in the middle of the service because the kids are having such a bad day; and the daughter is sometimes the "bully" of the nursery, stealing toys from all the kids.

On a happier note, I am training to run a half marathon in August when we visit Seattle. Anyone want to join me? Here is a picture my training guide.  It's from: Hal Higdon's website.  It works like magic.  All you have to do is do what it tells you each day, and by the end, you will be able to run (or jog, like me) for the full 13 miles!!!

My training plan for the half marathon.  All the little notes and scribbles are from me converting the miles into kilometers since our car measures in kilometers.

I've followed it two times in the past and it's worked- I've finished 2 half marathons.  I'm really serious about anyone joining me.  I would love to have someone run it with me.  Well, we wouldn't have to run together.  That can be frustrating....we can see each other at the beginning and then run at our own pace and see each other at the end.  I'm really not a runner.  I'm more of a jogger and it helps me to stay on track with exercising if I have a big goal to work towards.  So, how about it?  It is on Saturday, August 6th in Bellevue, WA.  The marathon website is not working right now, so I will post a link when it is up and running.

I may want to run (jog) with you in the half. I've never run one and really want to, but I'm not sure I have it in me!! I'll think about it and let you know for sure. -Teresa

Yay Teresa! I was hoping you might want to join in. Of course you have it in you, I know you can do it. No pressure!

Oh Annie I have always wanted to run one but each year goes by I get a little older and it seems a little harder. I have been running 3 miles three or four times a week I don't know if I could be ready by August. Send me your schedule.
